Anime Origins Hub Areas: Summon, Upgrade, Shops, and the Reroll NPC

Find the Summon Area, Upgrade Area, Random Shops & Merchants, and Trait Reroll station from the right-side Areas menu. What each hub does — and what is still unpublished.

Quick answer

Start with this

Open the Areas button on the right side of the screen. That menu is the hub map: Summon Area for banners, Upgrade Area for unit investment, Trait Reroll for the NPC station, and Random Shops & Merchants for rotating purchases. Community walkthroughs also name a Units & Elements area. Story, Infinite, and Raids are game modes, not hub rooms — pick a mode after you know which station you need. Only Fire and Neutral are confirmed elements so far; a full typing chart has not been published.

Step by step

What to do in-game

Follow the steps in order, then use the notes below to avoid wasting limited currency or materials.

  1. Step 1

Open Areas and learn the list

Press the Areas button on the right-side menu. You should see destinations for summoning, upgrading, Trait Reroll, and shops. The same menu is how you return after a Story or Infinite run.

Tip: If a guide says 'go to the NPC', it means pick Trait Reroll here and walk — it is not a pop-up window.

  2. Step 2

Visit Summon before a large spend

Enter the Summon Area and read the live banner pool. Confirm the Secret or Mythic you want is actually listed, then set a Gem stop before pulling. Codes fund this room; they do not replace checking the pool.

Tip: A video showing Madaro or Starku does not prove that unit is on today's banner.

  3. Step 3

Use Upgrade and shops only on keepers

The Upgrade Area is for units that will stay on the team. Random Shops & Merchants rotate stock — buy only what your current carry needs. Save Perfect Stat Prisms and evolution materials until the unit has a clear job.

How it works

The details that change your decision

Summon Area — where Gems become units

Banners live here. Launch Secrets (Madaro, Valcrad, Cursed Lover) and Mythics (Starku, Bon, Goju, Bluma) all come from this pool. No official per-unit summon rate is published, so the room is a budget problem, not a calculator problem.

Reach character Level 10, redeem codes, then walk here with a written Gem limit. If the target is missing from the live list, leave. Rebuilding Gems is faster than pulling the wrong banner.

Upgrade Area — spend only on the unit you will field

Upgrades, Stat Prisms, and later evolution steps concentrate here. Community sources document that Perfect Stat Prisms and Remnants are scarce launch-week items — codes and ChallengesFixed are how most players first see them.

Do not upgrade every summon. Pick one wave carry and one economy or support unit (Itsoda or Bluma early; Bon when you have a carry), then park the rest. Unpublished material costs are why this page refuses to print a recipe.

Trait Reroll station — a place, not a menu

Areas → Trait Reroll marks an NPC. Walk to it, select a unit, and spend Trait Reroll items. Each unit stores two traits with one active. Odds and pity belong on the trait reroll guide and calculator — this page only gets you to the station.

A good roll on a benched unit is wasted. Reroll the unit that is actually placed.

Random Shops & Merchants

Launch-week walkthroughs list Random Shops & Merchants as their own Areas destination. Stock rotates. There is no published shop catalog or price table, so treat every purchase as optional.

If a shop asks for Gems that you still need for a featured banner, walk away. Codes and Story runs rebuild currency; a random listing does not have to be bought the hour it appears.

Elements — what is confirmed, what is not

Fire and Neutral are the only elements confirmed in public write-ups so far. Community tier videos talk about elemental or hybrid categories, but they do not publish a complete matchup chart.

Do not spend Perfect Stat Prisms or exclusive materials on a guessed typing advantage. When a wiki roster lists a unit's element, we add it to that unit page. Until then, pick units by documented role: burst, control, income, support.

Modes are not hub rooms

Story is the Level 10 and code-unlock path. Infinite and Raids are longer or harder loops once a team can finish Story stages. You choose those from the mode flow, then return to Areas when you need to summon, upgrade, or reroll.

Food is mentioned in community videos as a currency alongside Gems, Gold, and XP. It is not yet documented with a drop table. Do not plan a farm around unpublished food rates.

If you're stuck

Check these before retrying

You cannot find Trait Reroll

Open the right-side Areas menu and choose Trait Reroll, then walk to the marked NPC. It is not under the Codes button.

The Summon Area looks empty of your target

Banner pools rotate. Leave the Gems in reserve and check the updates page plus the live banner text before pulling.

You are lost after a Story run

Open Areas again — Summon, Upgrade, shops, and reroll are all listed there. Modes and hub stations are separate lists.

Common mistakes

Fix these before trying again

Pulling before touring the hub

Visit Summon, Upgrade, and Trait Reroll once so you know which currency each room consumes.

Assuming a full element chart exists

Only Fire and Neutral are confirmed. Role and kit beat guessed typing.

Buying shop stock with banner Gems

Random shops rotate. Featured Secrets and Mythics do not wait for you to restock.

FAQ

Common questions

Where is the Summon Area in Anime Origins?

Open the Areas button on the right side of the screen and choose Summon Area. That is the banner room for Mythic and Secret units.

How do I find the Trait Reroll NPC?

Areas → Trait Reroll, then walk to the NPC it marks. Rerolling happens at the station, not in a floating menu.

What are the Anime Origins hub areas?

Documented destinations are Summon Area, Upgrade Area, Trait Reroll, and Random Shops & Merchants. Community videos also name Units & Elements. Story, Infinite, and Raids are modes.

What elements are in Anime Origins?

Only Fire and Neutral are confirmed in public sources. A full elemental matchup chart has not been published.

Is there a shop I should check every session?

Random Shops & Merchants rotate. Check them after codes if you have leftover currency, but do not spend the banner reserve on unknown stock.

Do I upgrade in the same place I summon?

No. Summon Area is for banners. Upgrade Area is for investing in units you already own. Keep those jobs separate so early Gems stay on pulls you planned.
